"The strongest arguments prove nothing so long as the conclusions are not verified by experience. Experimental science is the queen of sciences and the goal of all speculation. " ~ Roger Bacon (English philosopher, scientist)

Jennifer Morgan's research focus on the interaction between metals and biology. This encompasses a broad range of research including that on metal toxicity, metalloproteins, metal metabolism and metal isotope signatures. Specific projects include investigating the Fe isotope fractionation as a result of organic ligand exchange and the natural Fe fractionation that occurs in different organs in the body.

Beyond Fe, Jennifer is also investigating using Ca isotopes as a indicator of osteoporosis. The hope is to expand the traditional geochemistry technique of stable metal isotope signatures into biomedical applications.
